State of the art equipment

An operating microscope is used in aspects of medicine which require the most precise control such as micro-vascular surgery, eye surgery and brain surgery.

We are privileged at Malden Dental Care to be one of the few dental practices to have an operating microscope to help us with achieving high quality dentistry with the highest precision, enabling us to see 20x magnification.

When it comes to complicated treatments, having an operating microscope means the area being treated is magnified and lit up with an extremely bright light, and allows precise and intricate procedures like root canal treatment to be performed to a high standard. In root canal treatment, channels in a tooth are opened using instruments 1/15th of a millimetre thick, so being able to see the inside of the tooth with this level of detail has clear benefits.
